I was given the opportunity to do a product review for the Nokia Twist cell phone from Verizon Wireless.
When I first opened the package, the first think that came to my mind was “Oh, this is cute” It’s small, compact, trendy, and unique!
It kind of copies the look of a Blackberry, but it’s different in many ways. I got stopped twice by people asking about the phone. Here are some deets! ( yes, I said deets!)
Nokia 7705 Twist’s unique swivel design turns heads. When closed, the elegant, minimalist surface showcases a large screen and smooth buttons with tactile feedback, anchored by a Contact Light ring in the lower right corner that lights up to let you know when someone is trying to contact you. The phone swivels open, snapping with a click, to reveal a QWERTY keyboard and even a handy built–in mirror on the back. The phone also features dedicated buttons for the music player, a 3.0 megapixel camera with flash, HTML Browser, VZ Navigatorsm and Mobile Web. You can even change the back cover to suit your style.

My opinions:
I actually liked the phone. My son loved it even more. He asked if he can take it to school a couple of times. I answered with a big, fat NO! It young looking, hip and like I said, trendy. It’s easy to use, and very compact. The volume is great (better than any phone I’ve heard). It was perfect when I used the GPS app on it. The screen is a pretty good size, too. And, for all the ladies out there, behind the screen is a…. built in MIRROR! How cool is that?
Having said that, it’s compared to other phones, it’s small. When it’s closed it’s the size of a compact, or a wallet. This was an issue for me. Usually I place my phone inside my purse, and being a mom, my purse is packed. Trying to find it was bit of a challenge. Also, the two touch pads on there are Uber sensative. Those are pretty mush my cons.
Overall I enjoyed the phone very much. I would recommend it for “Tweens” or Teenagers… since they would be more inclined to get a cell that is hip and cool!
The Nokia Twist is available for $99.00 after a mail-in rebate with a 2 year customer agreement.
