A while back I was invited to a meeting to learn and talk about healthy eating. Belly Sprout- is the go-to place to find out all there is to know on Natural eating and living. Even though their focus is on Pregnancy and Birth, they do offer a variety of all Natural, Organic supplies. It’s also an outlet for mothers of all ages and “rank” to come and learn all about Organic living. If you are expecting and live in the Fullerton area, and you want to know all about living naturally and organically, this is truly the place to go.
My personal vision for Belly Sprout began with the pregnancy of my first son, Mayu. I knew that I wanted to cloth diaper, baby-wear and use natural products for him from bath care, supplements to natural toys. The only problem was I couldn’t find a local retailer which carried the products I needed. I spent my limited free time searching the web and sometimes making erroneous purchases. I really wanted to touch, feel and see what I would be buying! -Christy Funk, owner
I personally do not eat or live healthy. I know it’s a little weird talking about it, when I don’t practice this way of living. It was interesting learning about all this. I’ve heard about people being a vegetarian, or not eating a certain food group because of food allergies, but to make a choice to live healthy and completely organic, I found it amazing!
I was sitting at the meeting, listening to all that goes into living all natural, and I started to feel a little inspired. Just a little. I know that something should be done in my family to begin to eat more healthy. I am more aware as I cook now. For myself, I do find it a bit of a challenge, since I only cook Asian or Mexican cuisine. I know I shouldn’t say never. The interest is there, but in reality, I wouldn’t even know where to begin….
Having said that, if you are interested in living all natural and all organic, there is an event in the city of Brea, Ca that can move you in the right direction. It’s called “You Are What You Eat” . This place is great! I love their toys… especially the 50 blocks by Plantoys.
I have the Ergo carrier and heart 2 heart infant insert that I bought at Belly Sprout. I was able to try it on with my baby and they showed me how to wear it before I bought it.
I also had a facial with the Organic Apoteke during one of their events at Belly Sprout. I ended up buying the Active line of the Organic Apoteke because I really liked it!
Ok, so it is hard to say which product I like best there cause there are many I love. To styart with, the baby carriers are awesome, I want to try the ergo baby, I’ve heard any great things about it but for now the moby wrap seems great (i Just got the sleepy wrap which looks just like it). The cloth diapers are cool too. I’m getting cloth diapers little by little cause they are expensive so I can start doing it full time, but for now I’ll do cloth/disposable. I like bum genius. And the snacktaxi bags are something I want to get, I would like to stop using plastic bags ans these are a great solution!

I went on their site and saw babycarriers, and right away I fell in love. I definitely need some new diaper wraps (I cloth diaper) and saw that they carry swaddlebees which are some of my favorite!

We have The Original Rubber duck that is sold on their site and my teething daughter loves to chew on it. I would recommend it to any new parent who is looking for green toys for their little ones.

I like the Haba discovery blocks. My son has had Haba toys before, and I’ve always been very pleased with them. Great quality, and don’t have to worry about lead paint.
