“Today is the greatest day ever!”

This according to my 11 year old .   See, the Diary of a Whimpy Kid book series is probably the only book series he’s ever read, liked, LOVED!  He has read them through and through, and today the Movie comes out on DVD.

I, of course, am happy that he’s reading. He is super excited that the movie is finally on DVD.   To bad he’s a Boy Scout camp for a week and can’t pester me to go get it.  We didn’t get a chance to see it in the theaters.  One thing led to another, y no se pudo…. So I know the first thing he’s going to ask for is this movie.

From its origins as a series of online cartoons, Diary of a Wimpy Kid exploded onto the pop culture scene when Jeff Kinney’s first novel was published in 2007. Coming to DVD and Blu-ray August 3. Selling over 30 million copies in print, Diary of a Wimpy Kid spent almost three years on The New York Times’ children’s best-seller list and has been translated into 33 languages.

If you have preteen boys in your casita, then this is the book series/DVD for you.  I truly recommend it to your niños. They’re fun, exciting and sincere at the same time.   Great for boys that are starting  Jr.  High.  Check out these activity sheets you can print out, and maybe strike a reading interest in your son.  It sure did in mine…. thank God! lol
