Yesterday afternoon I was still in the process of trying to recover from my trip to BlogHer and my son coming back from camp.  The past 2 days, I’ve done 6 loads of laundry.  I had clothes from 1 load on my bed so I can start to fold and put away. I went to the kitchen, to help Sarai with some water, and of course, me entretuve with some stuff for dinner. Let me say that I was away from my room about 45 mins.   Kids were playing all over the house and what seemed  normal noise activity.

I cleaned up the kitchen, and made my way back to my room to start on the clothes.  By this time it was already 4:30ish.  I get to my room, the kids were in theirs, and I sat on my bed.

Next thing I know, I am trying to break my fall, cuz my kids broke my bed.

MY KIDS BROKE MY BED!!!!!!

The right side corner of the bed frame was completely broken off, and the wood frame that holds the mattresses was also broken off.  So my mattresses were acting like a see-saw.

Hijos de la %*&$#*#$@ madre…..

I took a good deep breath and tried to calm myself down, and it was then that I noticed that the kids were  s i l e n t.

I called them over and asked then (nicely) what happened.  They all responded…. “he/she did it”

Now gente, this is SO typical of them.  They blame each other, faster than I can finish a sentence.   What pisses me off the most, is that no one told me!!!!  Me tuve que hechar yo, la mendiga callida to find out about the stupid BED!!!!!!

By this time my husband called to tell me he’s on his way home, and I lost it there.  I kicked the kids out of the room, and I let my hubby have it.  I was crying my eyes out.  Have you guys ever done that?  Just totally let yourself go with someone?   I did the same thing to my poor amiga Silvia, upon my outrageous arrives to NY.

Ni modo… que le vamos hacer, no?  I have to look for a new bed frame now.

Hubby came home, scolded the mexipinitos, and helped me breakdown the bed.

I’m writing this post with my mattresses on the floor.

Ay, los niños

What Did You Think?

  1. My poor husband gets it on a daily basis! That completely sucks that they broke your bed!!! I didn’t know you went to Blogher! I was going to go, but ended up selling my tickets as it’s just not a good time for me.

    How’s everything going with you?

  2. Your poor, poor, hubby!

I did go to BlogHer…. too bad you couldn’t go… It would have been awesome to have met you IRL!

Next year, it’s here in Cali, do you still have family here?

Im doing good mama, how about you? How’s the bun in the oven?

  3. We had our bed on the floor for a good year because the frame broke and we couldn’t afford to waste money on a new one. LOL. It’s not so bad, actually.

As for losing it on the husband when it’s the kids who have driven you crazy – I’m guilty of that but I try very hard not to do this since I don’t like when he does it to me! :)

  4. No problem friend you can vent with me anytime

    Sorry about your bed. :(

  5. Brenda-Mejorando mi Hogar

JAJAJAJA Que barbaros, ya me imagino!!!!

  6. It’s okay to let yourself go sometimes.

I’m glad you didn’t get hurt.

  7. I love you…even if you do have a broken bed!

  8. Aww, Thanks Marcela! (:

  9. Pobre!!

Amiga, con mal humor el primer día y todo, me caiste SUUUUPER bien!!!

    Espero que nos veamos pronto!!

    Cariños a los mexipinitos!

    Denisse

  10. Gracias Amiga….

A todas, por los comentarios!!! (:

  11. I know I thought it was hilarious when I first read about this through FB, but amiga, I hear you– I’ve had those days. I’m pretty sure every mami has gone through something similar at one time or another. You are not alone.

I hope your bum is feeling better. Hehehe.

  12. ahhh…yes, I know all about spilling it out every now and then. I’m so sorry about your bed. Kids…indeed…
