This little old blog has been nominated for “BEST personal/ family style blog in all of OC”.  Now, I am up against some of the best of the best blogs here in el OC.  It’s the first category.  It would be awesome if you can vote for me.

Latism announced the finalists for the first Annual LATISM California Awards! I was nominated for “Best Ca Latina Tweep”.  WOW, imagine my suprize when I kept seeing the tweets with my name (@thoughtsofamomy) included on the list.  I didn’t even know I was nominated.  It would give me great pleasure if you would vote for me under the “Best Ca Latina Tweep”

Besides all the hype of BlogHer, I can see why it’s the “Go-to” conference of the year.

Through out the year, you connect with different bloggers.  It can be through either your blogs,  twitter, or even Facebook.   This conference give you the opportunity of meeting your online amigas, IRL.

My mind was set to meet some bloggers I hadn’t met before.  But let me tell you that once you get there, a whole whirlwind of  events happen, and I never got the chance!

One of my main highlights of the conference was the Latinas in Social Media panel that was held by Latism.  Not that I’m biased or anything like that, but compared to other panels, this had to of been the most well organized, thought-out, put together panel there was.  The engaging audience was so interested on what these fine bloggers had to say.

The chicas did a fantastic job at letting the audience know about Latina bloggers.  I felt mucho orgullo to be in the room and see these amigas in their finest hour.

Thank you very much Latism for the sponsorship.  It was a pleasure meeting Elianne and Ana and the rest of the bloggers whom I connected with.

BlogHer is the “go-to” conference for bloggers, and I am going to be there.  Joining the ranks of many bloggers, and most of all, being in the same presence of many fellow Latina Bloggers…

Get up, Iron, take the kids to school.

Get home, eat breakfast clean up a little, check the emails, go pick up the preschooler.

The PM

Get home feed the kids lunch, check email again.

Go pick up the pre-teen. Come back home and clean up again.

Start dinner, clean up again, homework, check email, clean up again.

Welcome hubby home, serve dinner, eat dinner, clean up again.

Bathe the little ones, tuck them into bed, and finally I sit on my nachas, open up my laptop cuz it’s…

LATISM time.

I look forward to Thursday nights all week long.  Every Thursday on Twitter (use the hashtag #latism),  I log on, and party with the many LatinosInSocialMedia. I heart this group.  Not only have I found a pretty cool way to spend my time (other than watching la tele) I have made great friends on there.  You will always find the ever so gorgeous host @ergeekgoddess there tweeting away with anyone who joins the fiesta.  If I can’t participate, I always try to sneak a peek at the paranda.  There are your regular party goers and almost every Thursdays, we get someone new. This is such and awesome group to join.  If you are Latino (or not) I invite you to come a join us for laughs, chats, music and lots of great friendships.  Each week they talk about something new.  Topics range from Finances to any issues that any Latino(a) may face.  Last week was in celebration for El Dia del Niño. Yesterdays party was all about the sad situation over in Arizona.
