Last Saturday I packed a bag and headed south to Legoland to experience their spooktacular  Halloween Party. Legoland’s Brick or Treat Party Nights are held every Saturday night in October. The kids put on their costumes and we hit the park. Brick or Treat Party Nights are not so scary and are perfect for your little ones.

El sábado pasado fui a Legoland para la fiesta de Halloween. LegoLand’s Brick or Treat Party Nights se celebra cada sábado por la noche, durante el mes de octubre. Los chicos se ponen sus trajes y pueden ir trick or treating. LegoLand’s Brick or Treat Party Nights no es miedoso y es perfecto para los nenes mas pequeños.

The Halloween Party features a costume party, dance stations to boogie the night away, live entertainment and of course Trick or Treating on the Brick or Treat Trail.  The kiddos headed right for the Trick or Treat Trail and loaded their bags not only with candy but other fun treats, including a free kid’s meal to Chipotle! They had a blast trekking on the trail on a quest for their next treat. We also were able to sneak in a couple of rides and some dancing. We had an incredibly fun time and were pretty much wiped out at the end of the night. I always say that a fun night ends with kids crashing before leaving the parking lot and last Saturday was most definitely a fun night!

La fiesta de Halloween cuenta con una fiesta de disfraces,estaciones de baile (para bailar toda la noche), espectáculos en vivo y por supuesto puedes pedir dulces. Mis hijos se dirigieron directamente hacia las estaciones de Trick or Treat con sus bolsas de dulce en mano.  No sólo les dan dulces, pero tambien cupones para ir a comer en Chipotle!  También fueron capaces de ir y subirse en algunas atracciones y bailar un poco. Tuvimos un tiempo increíblemente divertido. Yo siempre digo que una noche de diversión termina con los niños durmiendo antes de salir del estacionamiento y el sábado pasado fue definitivamente una noche de diversión!

The best part of Legoland’s Brick or Treat Party Nights is that they are included with the price of admission. If you have are a member, this special night is absolutely free! If you have been planning on visiting Legoland, make sure to pay a visit on a Saturday this October, and be prepared for quite a treat!

Design of the 5.5 acre Water Park began more than 18 months ago after guest surveys indicated that a water park would be a very popular addition to LEGOLAND California Resort. The $12 million investment is the largest expansion in the history of LEGOLAND California. The Water Park builds on the foundation of LEGOLAND California with interactivity, imagination and fun and is geared specifically for families with children ages 2 to 12.

LEGOLAND Water Park is located at the north end of LEGOLAND California adjacent to Fun Town with the entrance located between the Factory Tour and the Adventurer’s Club. LEGOLAND guests can upgrade their Park tickets to include LEGOLAND Water Park for just $10. Geared for families with children ages 2 to 12, the Water Park will be included in the price of Water Park Hopper tickets and Resort Hopper tickets which include SEA LIFE Aquarium as well. Water Park admission will also be included in Resort Memberships.

Young guests visiting SEA LIFE during the Dr. Seuss themed World Oceans Day celebration can take part in fun, hands-on, ocean-related activities throughout the day while interacting with SEA LIFE educators and learning more about our oceans and the creatures that call them home. The highlight of the days’ activities is a special dive show featuring an underwater reading of Dr. Seuss’ One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish!

Sporting ‘Seussian attire’, the exploration diver will be using an underwater communications system allowing guests to speak to the diver through the viewing window while the diver reads aloud to them from inside the Aquarium. The reading of the book is interspersed with questions and comments geared to get kids thinking about conserving our oceans and keeping fish populations safe.

The World Oceans Day Party at SEA LIFE Aquarium Carlsbad takes place this Saturday, June 5th from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and promises interactive fun for the entire family. All activities, excluding caricature drawings, are included in the price of admission. Aquarium admission is $19 for adults, $16 for seniors and $12 for kids 3 to 12. It’s action packed and fun from start to finish.  My kids (3,4 and 12) have seen a 3-D movie before, but not like this.  The little ones kept taking off the 3-D glasses that they provide.  A little word of caution: There is a part of the movie that features a “godzilla” type monster.  We had a 2 year old in the group, and did get a little scared.  My 3yo took off her glasses by then and did not want to put them back on.

BUT!!!!  They said the LOVED it… so, go figure.. You can check out my Whrrl story here.

After the show was over, we had the rest of the day, to explore LegoLand.  This was out first visit to the park, and what a memorable time it was!!  The park is perfect for kids of all ages. There’s something for everyone. My 12yo was able to ride most of the rides.  Some ride were perfect for his age, others where perfect for the little ones in our group.

BTW, in our group were 3 moms (including myself) my 12yo and 6, yes I repeat, 6 niños under four. How we did it, no lo se, but we did…lol!

Here are some pointers and tips when visiting the park:

• LegoLand is VERY strict with height requirement. VERY strict.  Which is good, don’t get me wrong, but in some rides, (little “dumbo”type rides) my 12yo was not allowed to ride with my 4yo.
• It’s better to go in even #’s.  Some, if not all, rides are 2 seaters. This is hard if you go alone with your 2 kids.( we found out the hard way!)
• They have hills, not big hills, but still, they are hills….prepare for that.
• There are other shows that look like a lot of fun. Great when the weather is hot!
